Brief description:

This confocal Olympus FluoView 3000 microscope consists of  an inverted stand equipped with a live cell incubation chamber (Tokai Hit) as well as a resonant scanner for fast confocal live cell applications. In addition the system is equipped with a sCMOS camera (Hamamatsu Orca Flash 4.2) and can be used as a conventional fluorescence widefield microscope.

Microscope:

  • Olympus IX83 (inverse) fully motorized stage with fluorescence filter sets for DAPI, AF488 and AF568 (for conventional epi-illumination).

Ilumination:

  • solid state laser lines: 405 nm, 445 nm, 488 nm, 514 nm, 561 nm, 640 nm
  • LED based (CoolLED pE4000) unit with 16 selectable wavelength for conventional epi-illumination for visual observation as well as for camera based fluorescence acquisition

Objectives:

  • 10x 0.3NA, UPlanFLN PH1
  • 20x 0.75NA, UPlanSApo
  • 30x 1.05NA, Silicon UPlanSApo
  • 60x 1.3NA, Silicon UPlanSApo
  • 60x 1.35NA, Oil UPlanSApo

Detectors:

  • 4 GaAsP PMTs (spectral detection option) and 1 transmission PMT

Stage:

  • Olympus IX3-SSU motorized XY stage, travel range 114 x 75 mm
  • Prior NZ400 fast z-Piezo stage insert

Hardware outofocus:

  • Z-drift compensator ZDC-2

Incubator:

  • Tokai Hit IX83HB-BK-B17J, Thermobox + stage top incubator for Piezo stage insert, temperature controller, gas mixer for CO2
  • sample adaptors for galss slides, chambered coverglass, chamberslide 35mm dishes, 50/60 mm dishes, well plate.
