Organization

ScopeM - as one of the central technology platforms of the ETH Zurich & educational/research facility outside the academic departments - reports directly to the Executive Board (Prof. Dr. Christian Wolfrum, VP for Research) of the ETH Zurich.

Dr. Nicolas Blanc - Managing Director of ScopeM - is responsible for the operation and development of ScopeM. Together with Dr. Gabor Csucs (Technical Director – Light Microscopy & Screening), Dr. Karsten Kunze (Technical Director – Focused Ion Beam & Scanning Electron Microscopy) and Dr. Alan Maigné (Technical Director – Transmission Electron Microscopy & in-situ EM) they form the management team of ScopeM.

ScopeM Management Team works closely with ScopeM Steering Board and User Assembly to further develop the Center.

Steering board members

ScopeM Steering Board is responsible for the overall scientific strategy of ScopeM. It makes sure that the available resources & expertise, as well as the support & services delivered by ScopeM are in line with the requirements of the projects and the user needs. The Board consists of five to seven members. Members of the Steering Board have to be ScopeM principal investigators and are elected by the User Assembly. The current members of the Steering Board are:

User assembly

Members of the ScopeM User Assembly include all ETH Zürich principal investigators (PIs) with on-​going research projects at ScopeM. Non‐ETH PIs have advisory rights only. The User Assembly elects the ScopeM Steering Board.
